THE LEGACY OF TAAA.

Recognized by Taiwan President Lai Ching Te, Vice President Hsiao Bi Khim, and honored as a 26th Prudential spirit of Community/Taishin Bank Youth Volunteer Elite Award recipient, Paige Ho is a youth art advocate and founder mobilizing creative communities to empower neurodivergent artists through global collaboration. At just 15 years old, she founded the Taiwan Autism Art Alliance (TAAA), a youth-led nonprofit dedicated to helping autistic artists discover and express their inner worlds through art. Her accomplishments were featured on Liberty Times News, China Times, Taiwan United Daily News, Commercial Times, and The Economic Times.

When Paige was in sixth grade, she was hospitalized with encephalitis. During that period, surrounded by hospital walls and long stretches of isolation, she experienced a deep sense of loneliness. Drawing became her escape. Sitting in her hospital room, she spent hours sketching and painting, discovering that art could transform fear and isolation into something expressive and meaningful. What began as a way to cope slowly became a source of comfort and joy.

Paige has always found purpose through creative work, and after recovering from encephalitis, she poured her time and energy into drawing and art-related research. She launched a small online website selling her artworks and raised around $4,000 for charitable causes. Yet, while having an admirable achievement, she ultimately came up short of the impact she had hoped to make. Paige realized she wanted her efforts to do more than simply raise money; she wanted to create something that directly empowered people who, like her during her illness, felt isolated and unheard.

Since its founding in 2023, TAAA has reached 198,193 website visits, created 8000+ artworks, organized 278 art workshops, 10 major public exhibitions, and numerous collaborative programs with guest artists and educators, creating opportunities for autistic artists to explore their creativity and share their work with wider audiences. Through these programs, artists are encouraged to express their emotions, develop confidence in their artistic voices, and connect with communities that celebrate their perspectives.

Paige’s work centers on a simple belief: every person has a color, a unique way of seeing and expressing the world.

Through TAAA, she aims to help autistic artists discover and share that color through art.

Under Paige’s leadership, TAAA has also built international partnerships to expand opportunities for autistic artists globally. In collaboration with Harvard University, Yale University, Indiana University, and the Luke Priddis Foundation in 2025-26, TAAA helped organize an international exhibition exchange showcasing 180+ artworks created by autistic artists from Taiwan, bringing neurodivergent voices into a global artistic dialogue.

Beyond exhibitions, Paige focuses on building sustainable programs that blend art, psychology, and advocacy. Through weekly workshops, community exhibitions, and international cultural exchanges, TAAA connects artists, educators, and communities across countries.

Today, Paige continues to grow TAAA as a youth-led platform redefining how the world understands neurodivergent creativity. By combining art with empathy and psychological insight, she hopes to create a future where autistic artists are recognized not for their differences, but for the depth and originality of their perspectives.

For Paige, the mission remains deeply personal: the same comfort art once gave her in a hospital room is now something she hopes to bring to others—one color, one artwork, and one artist at a time.
